Last night (6/3/09)!!!

It was another great night at flipside. I really felt like we had a good service. There were a lot of regulars missing last night and you could tell. There were a lot of new faces though, which is always cool. We had over 60, with i know about 15 that were not in town last night due to vacation or not feeling well. Worship went over very well, especially the closing part of it. Nothing excites me more than seeing about 80% of flipsiders lifting their hands and worshipping God. The sermon went well as well. I am trying to work on the way i share every Wednesday and i showed some more media and it seemed like everyone really got it last night.

If you missed last night we closed the series on ”Refuel: How to Connect with God.” We hit on three things that if you apply them to your life, the way you to connect with God will totally go to another level. Here are the three steps:

• #1- Stop- We get so caught up in what we do (Busyness). That we just need to stop and drop everything we are doing.
• #2- Be Quiet- Once you stop find a quiet place. A lot of time we don’t like it when its quiet cause we being to search ourselves. God wants us to find a quiet place cause its easier for Him to talk to us. So find a quiet place and spend time with Him.
• #3- Make a Connection- Talk to Him. Its that easy but also spend some time listening.

Apply these things in your quiet time with God and i promised it will totally change everything. Always remember its not the amount of time but its the heart behind it. God is not going to judge the time but the heart.  Another thing, when you spend time with Him its a lot easier for you to live for Him.
