Back to School Bash!!!

Be sure to start working your friends that dont go to church!!! This event is what kick starts us off for the new school year. We are depending on your flipsiders cause the success of this event is on what you do!!!! AUGUST 18TH is the day and its going to be awesome!!! Free food, drinks, Joust inflatable, boxing ring, sumo wrestling, awesome praise and worship set, and the start of a nex exciting sermon series!!! Its going to be aweomse, so lets get on the facebook page, myspace, tweet, text messaging, calling on the phone, or whatever it is you do to stay in contact with your friends and lets invite!!!!

Leaving on a jet plane;-)

Its about 6 AM and I have been awake since about 5:30 AM. Really trying to go back asleep!!! I dont know but there is just something about going to another country in about 24 hours that can really freak you out or really excited. Honestly speaking I am a little both. My plan orginally was to get up at 6:45 AM so, I guess I did get enough sleep.

Tomorrow is a big day and we are heading to EL Salvador. I am really pumped and excited about the opportunity we have at hand. Soon as we get there, we are going to hit the ground running. We are going to learn a human video in Spanish, go over some orientation stuff, and get ready for our first service. The next three days we are going to do 14 school assemblies and I am certain that we are also going to be doing services at night as well. Not really sure about Saturday but I know Sunday is going to be really busy;-) This next week is going to fly by so fast and I truly believe we are going to see a lot of lives changed. Really pumped and excited about that!!!! God has some great things in store not only for those that we are going to minister too but also the students that will be joining us.

I want to encourage you flipsiders or parents that find yourself reading this. Do what you can to join us next year to Alaska!! Parent do what you can to have your student join us!!! Missions trips are life changing events and do something to you that sometimes can not be explained. I am so pumped that we have the opportunity to do some school assemblies and reach out to students that have never heard the gospel!!!! This is going to be awesome!!! Stay tuned….

Sun Belt Masters Commission- June 30

Master’s Commision will always be a special part of my life. For 4 years I was apart of 2 great programs. This night will be a great night as they come to present the Word of God in different forms. Through skits, human videos, and other forms of media and visual arts. Don’t miss this night cause it will be awesome!!!!

“Christmas in July”- July 14

I know how we all just love Christmas!!!! This gives us another reason to have it in flipside!!! We will have a gift exchange which is always fun in flipside and some cool giveaways;-) Just spreading some of that Christmas spirit!!!! Flipside will also be decorated and who knows, maybe Santa will make a special appearance!!!!

“Chilling” night, next Wednesday!!!

Yes a lot of us will be gone to R3 but we will still have flipside next week!!! It will be called our “chill” night!!! Come to flipside next Wednesday night (6/23) and get some free pizza and a soft drink!!! During the time we regualry have flipside there will be dodgeball going on, basketball, playing some video games, and some other cool things to do to just hang out. It will be just a night of “chilling” and hanging out. So plan on being there;-)

710!!!! This Friday Night!!!

Hope to see you this Friday night!! Its our first 710 of the summer and we hope to see you there. You have no excuse not to be there cause there is no school going on and you shouldnt have any homework;-0 Unless of course you are going to summer school:( We will have some hang out time and ply some dodgeball so try your best to come out and hang!!!

“Bring a Chair Night” last night!!!

If you last night… you missed a real interesting chair. The participation was awesome and several people brought their chairs. There was one that stood out the most… a toilet chair with rails on it. It was classic!!! Decent crowd last night;-) Wrapped up the “Seven Deadly Sins” series we have been doing the last seven weeks and we had several visitors. It was really awesome!!!

Mateo Project!!!

Mateo Project is back for the summer!!! This is all about discipleship and serving in the church and community. You will have the opportunity to come together with other flipsiders and spend time in prayer, bible-study, eat some lunch with Rebekah and Pastor Leo, and help out either around the church or a community project. Make plans to be there!!!

flipside quesiton service?

This flipside service will be like no other service!!! Its going to be very unique and different. There will be food and drinks given out. Come ready for the unexpected and an experience like no other!!!

PG-31 (Girls Discipleship)

PG-31? Is it a new movie rating? No….. It stands for Proverbs Girl 31 (Read Proverbs 31). This is just for ladies and we at flipside are so excited about it. Its going to be awesome and ladies you really need to be apart of it. There will times when you meet in flipside and times you may meet at Panera or Starbucks!!! It will be every 2nd and 4th Sunday for all you ladies that find yourself in 7-12th grade. First meeting is May 23rd and we hope to see you there.
