As most of you know, Pastor Leo isn’t too crazy about lock-ins. So when he came across this, he jumped all over it. You dont want to miss this event!!! If you love water parks and staying up all night, this is it for you. Only $30 which covers your admission and transportation will get you in this event. Space is limited, so turn in your money ASAP!!!!
This past Wednesday night (3/31) Pastor Leo announced what he is willing to do. He said will get tazed on a Wednesday night if flipside can raise $10,000 by May 9th!!! Some of you may think this is going to be really difficult. There is a plan…. flipside golf classic usually raises between $4,000-$5,000 every year. If every student in flipside can come up with $100 in the next month…. Our goal of $10,000 will easily be met. Its all about how bad do you really want to change 10,000 lives. We spend so much money on things that really dont matter. What would happen if you would just chill and take it easy for month and be committed to this goal. We can easily do $15,000!!! We came up with some ways to help- 1. Get someone or a buisness to sponsor a hole at our golf tournament ($125) 2. Get a team together for the golf tournament ($260 is the cost but raises $136) 3. Or you can do it the old fashioned way… BEG, GET A JOB, SELL (legally), or talk to g-ma and g-pa!!! Do what you gotta do!!! Lets get behind this and i am sure you are dying to see Pastor Leo cry like a girl!!!
The results are in!!! 4th- Yellow Team, 3rd- Red Team, 2nd- Blue Team, and in 1st-Green Team!!!! This event was so huge for flipside and I personally want to thank all of you that made this a huge success. Throughout the whole month we averaged over 100 students every night;-) A ton of you brought friends and the cool thing is a lot of them continued to come. Green team won an trip to New Orleans Zoo and Aquarium!!! Its going to be awesome and I am already looking forward to March Madness 2011!!!
GREEN TEAM goes for free (all you have to pay for is your lunch and dinner)!!! Winners of March Madness 2010!!!! There is one catch. You must sign up no later than April 14th!!! This is going to help us out knowing how many we need to pay for and plan accordingly. Everyone else the last day to sign up is the 21st. The cost for the non-winner is $20 and it covers admission and transportation. Plan on being apart of this awesome event!!!
flipside favorite!!!! Dont miss this night!!! All you have to do is bring a friend and your name is put in a pot for $100 bones;-) The more friends you bring the more of a chance you have to win!!! Another thing that is so awesome about this event, is that your friend also have a chance at winning some cash money!!! All they have to do is fill out a guest contact and their name will be put in to win $50 cash money!!! So its a win-win situation. What do you have to lose? Bama fans better represent!!! 2009 National Champions!!! Roll Tide!!!! Come out to this awesome event as you hear a former Bama QB share his testimony on how God changed his life. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Its on April 17th at 6PM and he will also join us that following Sunday at the Celebration Service at 10AM!!! Mark your calendars now.
Help us out by raising some money for El Salvador!!!! Just bring that stuff by that has been collecting dust;-) We need it all so this can be a huge success. Bring it by Wednesday night, Thursday, or Friday during office hours. We will open up between 6-8 PM if you would like to bring items by then to. So look around the house, talk to your parents and help us out!!!
It all begins tomorrow night!!! The moment that a lot of us been waiting for!!! Its time to get pumped, its time to get crazy, and its time to reach out to our friends. Last week we announced what every team will be playing for. The winning team this years gets a day trip to New Orleans Zoo and Aquarium paid for and the person that bring the most friends gets a complete trip payed to R3 2010!!! Worth playing for? March Madness 2010 is coming in March!!!! This is one of the highlights of the year for flipside and you dont want to miss it. Its going to be awesome this year and better than years before with some new games. If you dont know what March Madness is…… We divide all of flipside into 4 teams (Red, yellow, green, and blue) and we have team competitions through out the month of march. There are different ways you can earn points for your team: winning an event, bringing a friend that has never been to flipside (which gives your team the most points), spirit points, and other ways as well. At the end of March all the points are tallied up and whatever teams wins gets…….. You have to wait till March to find out 
Start looking forward to it cause its going to be awesome!!!
Last week we began our “Real Sex” series and will continue to do it through February. Last week we talked about “Sex Messaging,” the real message God intended for sex and not what this world made it out to be.
