R3 2010!!!

R3 2010 is coming soon!!!! Last Wednesday night we announced it and now its time to start turning in your deposits. All you need is $100 to hold your spot and you can start making payments. Pastor Leo is going to do everything he can to sell this out, so be sure to turn in your money ASAP. If you would like to save some money and have the cash on hand turn in $300 before March 3rd and save $25. Deeper Attendees!!!

If you went to deeper, do me a huge favor and tell us what you thought. Did God do something in your life? Did He speak to you about something? Did you enjoy it? Would you recommend it to anyone for next year? Give your honest opinion.

In case you are wondering what Deeper was all about….. It was an intense weekend of discipleship. It wasnt one of those get together, hear the word, and just chill. The worship services were awesome and so was the guest speaker Mark Brewer. It was all about going deeper with God in every area of your life. Friday Night: Decide Who You Are, Saturday AM: All or Nothing, Saturday PM: Leave Something Behind, and Sunday AM: Where do you go from here? Knowing God’s Will…..

So if you missed, you must go next year and let God do something great in your life. Looking forward to Deeper 2011!!!!

Coming this January 2010!!!

Hope you had a great Christmas!!! We really missed all of you last Wednesday and we are going to miss you again tomorrow night!!! Just wanted to give you a sneak peak into some events that are coming up this January!!!

There is still time to sign up for this event!!! Just add $10 to the cost and it must be turned in by Sunday!!!

This is the flipside special of the month!!! We always seem to look forward to these services cause ou just never know whats going to happen. So come dressed in your best sleep wear!!! You might just win something!!!

This is something that we are really excited about at flipside!! We’ve been praying for a way that we can reach out to those less fortunate than us. Back in the beginning of December we reached out to the homeless and it was so successful. There is a ministry that meets every Thursday night in Cathedral Square in Mobile that reaches out to the homeless. We’ve prayed about it and we are going to join them every 3rd Thursday of the month. You must be at least 16 and up and involved in flipside or the core. This is going to be awesome cause we are going to be doing one of the things that Jesus called us to do. Hope you are able to join us.

Alright Ladies!!! A lot of you been asking when we were going to do this again!!! Here it is!!! This was a blast last year so those of you that missed be sure not to miss this event!!! See Rebekah or Dana (Memaw) for more details!!!

Tonight and Coming up Event!!!

Tonight we will be wrapping up our “Naughty or Nice,” mini-series. Hope to see you there and do what you can to bring a friend!!! I know you may have a lot going with the holiday season we are in but dont put God on the back burner. Events Coming up:

Next Wednesday night is our Christmas Party!!! Be sure to invite some friends!!! We will have some live music, food, games, and of course a flipside favorite “Dirty Santa.” So be sure to bring a gift, guys bring a bag of chips, and girls bring some cookies.

New Years Eve Bash- This will be our third year to this and its always a blast. This year we decided to do things a little different. We are going to start around 5 PM and go eat dinner, head to the skating rink, then to the bowling alley, and then see a fireworks display at the church!!! Make plans to be apart of this awesome event. We need at least 10 students to make this event possible!!!

Tonight and Friday Night!!!

So tonight is going to be awesome. I will be hitting on “Naughty or Nice.” Going to give you some cool insight on a well know song and apply it to the Word. Its going to be pretty neat. So invite your friends and lets finish this year strong.  Also this Friday night is the final 710 for this year. Be sure to come out for a while and hang out with us. It will be from 7-10 PM that we will open up flipside for you to just chill and hang out with some friends and flipsides leaders. Hope to see you there.

Tomorrow Night!!!

710 tomorrow night from 7PM-10PM!!! Come hang out, chill, and bring a friend. We always have a great time just hanging out and doing just whatever. UNO, Dodgeball, getting on the net, playing video games, or just talking and hanging out. So come out!!!

Service was great last night. We had some casualties during the game last night. Everyone had a blast though!!! Worship was awesome and the sermon i thought went over well. It was Bring a Friend Night and Debroah Elmore won!!! That was cool to see her win $100 bucks. She brought two friends with her.

Also, dont forget no flipside next Wedneday night. Spend sometime with your family. The next day is one of my favorite holidays!!! EAT ALL YOU CAN EAT DAY (THANKSGIVING)!!! See you in two weeks!!!

Bring a friend night is tonight!!! Hit up on your friends!! Text them, call them, facebook them, myspace them, tweet them, yell across the street, and get in the car and bring them. We will have flipside tomorrow night at 7PM as usual!!! Be sure to come out and bring a friend. There is no school and that means no home work, nothing to study for, and you have time to get ready to come to flipside. Last Night at flipside!!!!

If you missed last night, it was awesome. God really showed up in worship and several people made a committment to step out of the boat. Last night we hit on “Extreme Faith.” We talked about the story of Peter stepping out of the boat during the storm to walk on water with Jesus. Awesome story especially when we took it from the perspective we did. If Peter didnt walk in faith that night, he never would of know what its like to walk on water. How many times have we stayed on the boat cause we were scared, insecure, wanting to hold on to something, a relationship, or friendship? Cause we stayed on we missed on what God has store for us. Everytime we let go of things and step out in faith, God is going to do something great in our life. How many times did we miss out on what God has in store for us cause we didnt want to step out in faith or get uncomfortable. Get out of the boat and let GOD BE GOD!!!! STEP OUT IN FAITH!!!! Live life with EXTREME FAITH. Worship last night was off the hook, the chain, it was hopping, awesome, crazy, and yet so full filling. There was a time where we just stood there and just hung out with Jesus. Students were really getting into it!!! So, hope to see you next week. Dont forget in 2 weeks its Bring a Friend Night!!! Stay tuned for that cause there are something special going on for that service!!! 

Tomorrow Night and This Week!!!

There is a lot going on at flipside for the remainder of this week!!!! Tomorrow night is Extreme Night and you dont want to miss it, its going to be awesome!!! Friday Night is 5th Quarter and our first Annual DodgeBall Tourney. Be sure to have your team registered by no later than Thursday afternoon!!! Also, this Saturday we are heading out to House of Horrors. If you would like to be apart of that, the cost is only $10 but you must remember to bring your money for dinner afterwards.
